1. Tim Hortons Presents: The Last Timbit
Inspired by real Canadian stories, The Last Timbit follows a group of strangers who wait out the snowstorm of the decade in a Tim Hortons. In this hilarious and heartfelt new musical, this unlikely group comes together to explore family, community and finds the best in hard times – all while battling for the last Birthday Cake Timbit. Produced in association with Michael Rubinoff, originating Producer of Come From Away. The Last Timbit features music and lyrics by Anika Johnson and Britta Johnson, a book by Nick Green and is directed by Brian Hill. The creative team includes choreography by Genny Sermonia, music supervision and orchestrations by Lynne Shankel, scenic and costume design by Kelly Wolf, lighting design by Jareth Li, sound design by Josh Liebert, production management by Ray Salverda and stage management by Seren Brooke Lannon. Rob Richardson is the general manager and associate producer.

2. 2024 Canada Day in Toronto & GTA: Fireworks, Celebrations and Festivals

Celebrate on the waterfront with Harbourfront Centre’s July long weekend lineup of free and ticketed programming in music, dance, comedy, food and family-friendly activities. Enjoy all-ages programming, like spectacular outdoor concerts with Fefe Dobson and Choir! Choir! Choir!, an evening with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, a comedy set with award-winning comic Martha Chaves and much more. Grab some food and take in the view during your festival visit! Our food vendors, an extension of some of the busiest kitchens in the GTA, are here for Canada Day Long Weekend with mouthwatering bites, snacks and drinks to help keep you full all weekend long. The Marketplace at Canada Day Long Weekend Festival features hand-crafted items representing Toronto’s best creatives and local craftspeople. Each summer, Markham sees the coming together of dazzling cultural performances, culinary artists, iconic celebrities, dignitaries, sports fans, artisans and food connoisseurs. This year’s event will fill the streets with three days of non-stop multicultural performances for families and friends. First introduced in 2003, the Taste of Asia festival provided a platform for the community to promote the multicultural mosaic of Canada and create harmony among various cultural groups through an event that fostered mutual respect and co-operation.

5.Whitchurch-Stouffville Strawberry Festival – Canada Day Weekend
The Strawberry Festival is a free Summer festival that offers something for everyone – A street market featuring over 200 artisans and vendors, great food, live entertainment, outdoor performances, bouncy castles, carnival rides and more! Join us as we celebrate Canada Day all weekend long.

The Q107 Canada Day Weekend is back!
We’re featuring Q107 Rock & Roll Tributes to the best bands in the world. Then we’ll cap off Canada Day Monday night with Toronto’s largest fireworks display from Ashbridges Bay, set to a “live” set of amazing Rock!
The party takes place at Woodbine Park near the beaches. Come down and enjoy the Kids Zone with arts and crafts, great eats, a Beer Garden and most of all… Rock & Roll!
